Delta scope clause question

ASA is in the process of fitting all of its CRJ-700s with 1st class seating(taking the forward lav out) which drops the seats from 70 to 66. Would this allow Delta to circumvent the 70-76 seat RJ scope clause aircraft limit?

No. Why? Did you hear about a rumor of ASA getting more CRJ700s? You must be so excited!

Naw bro... they couldn't get the Ninehundo that way so he's not really that pumped.

(I think the Delta scope clause is based on what the airframe is certified for, not what is actually in it)

that part of their scope clause you are refering to is 70 seats or less, so it does not allow for any more aircraft from 51-76 above the 255 limit with 120 of those being 900's which they are already over.

Actually we are getting more ninehundos but not for Delta hehe

Thanks. I for some reason I was thinking the clause started at 70 seats.

Did this come to you in your dreams last night?

If enough people don't volunteer, and they use ASA pilots, I don't see him having much choice. :)

Latest I heard was that they only wanted super koolaid drinkers going to Vietnam (obviously trip7 is on the top of that list), and for that reason were going to only allow certain people to go. They kinda want to hand pick who is going to go.

When this is announced ASA recall at least some if not all furloughs. Im sure the furloughees except for Surreal apparently would rather have a job in Vietnam then no job at all. They will have plenty of volunteers.

It probably wouldn't be good for anyone other than single males up for an adventure on a short-term basis that are tired of whatever they've been doing since the furlough started. I can't see someone with a family taking recall to CRJ FO in S.E. Asia and making it work no matter how good of a deal they were offered.

I think you'd hear a bunch of "me bypass long time."

Marcus,

I'd really worry about yourself than trying to position yourself into furloughed pilot's shoes. Must be comfortable knowing you won't have to worry about slipping these shoes on any time soon.

That said, any person who actually knows me, knows I am ready to start my ex-pat aviation career - even if it is an 18 month COMA away from domestic flying.

Nevertheless, I'm not quite falling over your little cryptic nonsense anymore.

Last rumor I heard they're would be 40 Captains from both ASA and SkyWest selected to do it. Assuming half from each that would be only 20 vacancies from ASA; I doubt it would be enough to call back anyone.

Overall, I'm still doubtful anything happens.
