Delta scope clause question

Last rumor I heard they're would be 40 Captains from both ASA and SkyWest selected to do it. Assuming half from each that would be only 20 vacancies from ASA; I doubt it would be enough to call back anyone.

Overall, I'm still doubtful anything happens.

On the Skywest side, I can see how they can "select" people for it since they can more or less change their "agreement" at will. However, ASA, I'm pretty sure they're gonna have to bid for a vacancy unless it's created under a totally different umbrella outside of ASA's scope clause. If it is......that scope needs tightening.

And I'm with everyone else, I don't see many furloughees jumping at the chance to even leave McD's to go fly CRJs in Southeast Asia.

Well I guess we only have a small difference of opinion. I think there will be plenty of pilots, whether they be furloughed or not, jumping at this opportunity.

I've thought about this and I'm not too sure how that would work. But there are a bunch of Captains willing to jump over. I could also see single furloughees heading over but those with a family, not so much. Nevertheless I don't see ASA calling back furloughees for a while, even if this rumor comes to pass, which I don't believe will.

Yeah, for me to go over there long term, there'd either have to be some INSANELY good cash or some sort of ex-pat benefits for the family in the way of housing and schooling. I'm not sure how well Vietnam's gonna be on either of those.....

I heard it was going to be some sort of dry lease operation. Our scope only protects wet lease.
