Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
Let's all be careful out there.
You slay me Boris.
I'd like to add something as well. Something something something, trite crap, more trite crap, ygbkm reference to aviation and we are all together blah blah blah.
I have an imaginary friend who stopped an airplane from being pushed into a pickup truck today by a ramper in a ZOMGZ DEE ZERO situation. Which is why my imaginary friend has a policy where he doesn't care what time D-0 is, he just works his ass off to get the plane out as fast as possible in one piece and if he makes it he makes it, if not, everyone's intact and we passed a possible audit. Imaginary, of course, because in real life its safety and policy first no matter how late the plane is. Yep.Pushback crews fault.... You get what you pay for. When D-0 becomes the holy grail, people let that word "safety" drop to the floor.
No bonus for being safe, but discipline for being late. Push, push, push.

What is Tarmac, anyway?
;-)
I don't know what happened but if the flights blocked out at D-0 then why were the push crews still rushing during the actual push back?
Because some of us require 5mph on the GPS to show out.

Didn't it used to be D+5 and A+14 was considered ontime?
Does that affect your pay? Like now they're not including engine start in the block time?
