Delta pilots Picket at ATL

Let's see what happens on March 1st. Hoping for the best not only for the airline, but for the pilots in which some are amongst us here at JC.

I take it you or a family member works for Delta. Unless it is you, I don't see why you can't comment?

I don't why the people who are responsible for our safety take the pay cuts and the morons in the corporate office get rewarded for eating more and more caviar.

And don't forget spelling police "Delata." Hey why did you only graduate Magna Cum Laude from Jet U? Why not Suma Cum Laude...slacker!!!
Just as I thought...who's policing the police? It's Summa Cum Laude! :D

hmmm well, apparently doug's keeping silent about this stuff again with me so now i have to go to the masses to find out exactly what's going on.

so if i understand it correctly, mgmt is trying to get severence packages equal to 6-12 months of work for 144 officers right?

if so, then why is it that most companies might give 1-2 months of severance and even other companies give 1-2 weeks of severance but delta seems to feel their "pink slipped" officers deserve 6-12 MONTHS of severance? WAY overboard IMO!!!

and if I also understand this correctly, then DAL is asking for ANOTHER 18%? when they just took 15% out of 19% that they originally asked for (the 2nd time)?? is that right????

cuz if so, they can kiss my big round ass and fricken enjoy it!

I can understand wanting the *REST* of the originally asked for 19% (that'd be 4%) but to ask for ANOTHER 18% is way beyond comprehensible that there's just no way these pilots are going to take it sitting down!!

again, if worse comes to worse, i'll be there handing out picket signs!!

absolutely, utterly ridiculous and I am entirely within my rights to say so!

the BK judge should slap their hands so hard they fly across the room in utter shame and agony!!

if i'm reading and understanding this all correctly then all I gotta say is: DOWN with DAL!

*can you tell i'm pissed off? hahahhaha :)

All Pilots Unite!
ALL!!! we need to take a fricken stand and let what's gonna happen happen.. it's the only way to right the so MANY wrongs that have occured up till now.

NWA needs to get their peeps up in arms too..

Hmmmmm sounds like we might be less to legacies unless mgmt wakes the • up! Seeing the pic of the DAL pilots united in the aticle was AWESOME!!!

If I understand it right, it's not an additional 19%, but a 4% in addition to the 15% that we just took.

If they wanted another 19%, I think they'd have downright mutiny occur.

As an expert observer, and occasional commenter, ????/DUNNO???? It just doesn't make sense to me. I agree, strike if needed, picket until it is necessary, but to say "Down with DAL!" cuts too deep. If DAL finally decides to pull a Independence Air/ACA and shut the door... we as a pilot group are no better off. Standing strong, not sticking it to management, but actually going for "good faith" agreements, not only on pilot contracts, but on managements also.

A question for the masses... What stops pilots from negotiating their contracts, but also negotiating with MNGNT on things such as executive contracts.... IE. "A person in management cannot have a severance package more then 2 weeks pay." The industry was once run by pilot, and now that the lawyers and insurance companies have their hands in the pockets, it seems to be down hill. It seems the airlines have become fat on top, and need to be put back in check. Pilots are generally smart people, their input should be valued, and listened to.
