Delta's management is run by an operationally efficient minded person. AA's management is run by a bean counter and operations be damned. That's the reason Delta is doing as well as they are.

Not quite. IMO Southernjets is run by a brand minded person that stresses operations as part of that. He surrounded himself with good ops people.

Yup. I wanted 2000 lbs extra fuel, flight control said "release number two in six minutes, fuel truck arrives in three".

Tap dancing and negotiating wastes time, wasted time is wasted money, wasted money means a smaller profit sharing check.
