Delta back at it again, pissing people off

They did the same thing yesterday with their sponsorship of the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. I respect the company, but don't understand why they have some management in PR I assume who are dead set on sabotaging their success. I think setting the terms as such, putting the city of Seattle in the position to have to accept them is pretty bad. But, it seems to be their modus operandi at this point. I hope that Ed Bastian puts a stop to all of this, soon. I don't see how he tolerates this whiny baby way of doing business.

All I can say is that from what comments I'm seeing on Facebook about this... they really did strike a nerve for a lot of people and this isn't a good way to "get involved with the community" in the Pacific Northwest. Kinda hard to call yourself "seattles airline" when you A: aren't even from Seattle and B. Set the tone like this....

I didn't even know that either about the fox theatre, I'll have to go look that up

I think Seattle has been an important city on their radar for a long time. They would like to be THE airline there.

So wait, Delta pissed off a group of Alaska employees? *gasp*

The way I see it, Delta gave the parade lots of money and a decent amount of publicity. That's just good business for both sides. Well, except for Alaska. Let's face it, advertising rules the world today, so we can't be shocked when one company tries to one up another company .

Perhaps, but if someone had the audacity to actually have a straight pride, or white pride, or whatever demographic isn't a minority parade, they'd be run out of town on a rail.

Before you run me out of town on a rail, I'm all for a gay pride parade, a black parade, a foot fetish parade, but there is no reason why other groups can't have pride too.

Girls have foot fetishes? I thought only guys did. I am the most boring girl ever! Getting back on topic, though...Delta needs to stop it with the unreasonable demands, and perhaps run any comments through the PR department...the side that actually wants to be a little diplomatic, because the comments by their attorney about the Fox Theatre thing/Jennifer Lopez concert just were a little much.
