Rookie. The old school LearJet pilots would just pull the overspeed breaker and push the throttles up, occasionally one would get into Mach Tuck. 7 spars won't let the wings rip off so they'd just go supersonic as they met terra firma for the last time.
Warning lights circuit breaker. (So I've heard.) And it was mainly used to go fast down low.
 
Yea following eskimo air into the Seattle always causes us to slow down and then usually a vector off the arrival.

That’s just SEA. Most of the arrivals (at least Hawkz7) say transition to 280 kts. It’s not our speed causing the mess. (We can do whatever speed they want).

We also get vectored off it that makes you feel any better. Slow to 210 when you’re still 30 from the field is a fan favorite.

I recently had a SWA 737 racing to pass me opposite side to final…..im coming from northwest, he’s coming from east……as I was slowing to start getting configured on a heading to join final, just so they could be sequenced by approach ahead of me on final. Then as I’m rolling out on a 9 mile final, they’re several miles ahead of me and nearly co-altitude, asking tower for s-turns on final because they were too high and too fast, at their short distance to the runway. Brilliant! :)
 
Not to be confused with the NEII on the 717, otherwise known as the “November Echo Irritation Index”, which, of course, is set to maximum on any leg out of NYC.

idk how I missed this earlier but I believe it. Was grumbling about a 717 this morning that needed a turn while climbing so as not to clip the downwind. Dude got outclimbed by a Mooney off CDW.

Isn’t that gratifying? Unmolested energy management is a beautiful thing if you’re ahead of the airplane. Get behind though and suddenly you’re hoping the retractable landing lights will shave off an extra couple knots.
