Apparently not to Mike. He said it's "just a job." I'm sure you'll both adjust your mindsets as time goes on, however. Lots of newer guys feel the same way until they've been beaten down by the industry for a few years, then they see the light. I was once the same way.

It is just a job to me...A very enjoyable job, but family will always be my top priorioty. If you think I would ever ANY job above my family and their will being, than you are out of your mind.

On the side note of a proud profession I had to convince a guy the other day that we still even land the plane. We went around in South Bend and he was very confused why the auto pilot couldn't see the runway.

Didn't say I could do no wrong, Mike. You really need to stop putting words in my mouth.

It's a matter of intent. In keeping with your analogy, most cops will issue warnings rather than tickets if they believe the speeder truly didn't know the speed limit. There's a difference between willful intent and ignorance.

At the end of the day when that driver speeding through a school zone hits and kills a young kid, who really cares about the difference between willful intent and ignorance?

Same apply's to your defense of "ignorance" so no harm no foul...At the end of the day, you still ended up putting a ton of money in the pockets of people, who I think today you would argee are at the top of the list for scumbags in the industry.

I've heard many SCABs make the same argument to justify their decision to stab their brothers in the back. You have to draw a line in the sand that you will not cross. Going to work for Skybus is over that line.

Going back a couple pages PCL when at your time at GIA, PCL, and Air Tran have you sat down and talked to a group of Scabs?

Hate to put your resume on trial here PCL, but you challenge other's career moves so you're open game.:D

If you are such a proud supporter of ALPA, pin and all that jazz, then why did you goto a non-ALPA airline?

Champion Air was a 3-airplane outfit, and they didn't have enough $ to lease 3 used 757's to replace their 727's? They needed investors? What the hell kind of company were they?

hardly a 3 plane outfit.....they had 16 727's. a few were set-up for vip charter service: NBA, NHL, etc..... They also were a sub-contractor of sorts for MLTVacations: a charter outlet of Northwest Airlines. They did military chartes as well. NBA cancels contract, MLT cancels contract, money dries up....that's about it.
