CFI Jax...

Well day 13..... Out of my class all 7 of my classmates have completed their MEI's sucessfully..... Only two of which had to go back and re check and one was a steep turn and one was just Vmc Demo (lesson). Both of those rechecks took less then 30 mins each.

Of the 7, 3 of us have completed our CFII's on the 1st chance. There are 4 more who still have to go.

Two of the 7 including myself have our CFI single tomorrow. We will see how that goes..... As of right now my class has done extremely well. From my understanding this is not always true. So when you come to ATP you have to be prepared yourself for what you are getting yourself into and understand you have to study to be profecient. Anyways hope this has helped some of you who are thinking about coming to do the CFI course.... Anyone who has questions feel free to PM or Email me.... I will do my best to answer honestly.

I start August 6th for standarization. From my understanding I am headed to Daytona Beach to instruct. From what I hear it'll be add ons but I do not know that for certain........ I look foward to this journey. Its been extrememly fun and enjoyable thus far and I look foward to what the future holds...

Awesome that you get to do add-ons. You really might catch me after all. I give you 2 months max hehe.

I actually am enjoying teaching ACPP folks more. I might just be unlucky, but I keep hearing "I haven't really been flying in about 2 years, but I did some touch-n-gos for .5 in a cessna last week to get ready" from all my addon people.

A basic set of skills (holding altitudes within 300' maybe...intercepting localizers) are sort of required before showing up for an accelerated program. So I keep discovering not having flown in X years + 4 day program = a really "fun" 3 days. I do my best to warn them when I call them ahead of time. But just like for my 5 day MEI/II...I dont think people really appreciate how quick those 3 days of training go by.

CFI School COMPLETE! Finished yesterday and drove 13 hours back to Indiana right after. Glad to be back in Indiana for a few but off to FL for the Aug 6th. I'll post more about my experience and sum things up shortly. But for now its time to enjoy the family and girlfriend and relax...... Any questions or comments feel free to PM i'll answer all them who ask...

standarization was suppose to occur yesterday. However after 2.9 of the guy flying before me and riding in the back seat myself and the cheif pilot decided at 10pm it was a little unfair to do a ride. Also the head ache didnt help. ANyways today here in a few I'll be leaving for my standarization ride. If things go well I've been told to show up at DAB ready to start at 0800.... So shall see what happens...

Standarized!!! Now I am in Daytona Beach about ready to work..... I am excited and it shall be fun...... Apartments are nice, guys seem cool so we will see what happens.....
