Cancelled 2/3 of interviews.

I had 3 interviews scheduled at 3 different regionals. All for early June.

I know there value to the experience but man. One place the pay was brutal and bases would never in a million years work for me.

Second one now has just been a complete charlie foxtrot to get me paperwork to fill out and travel arrangements. Very disorganized, and decided if its that bad now, it can only get worse.

One skunk in the garden party left.

Working for regionals can be tough. But listen, 98% of the people are amazing to work with, you get to fly advanced aircraft and do things that beat working in an office! I would be prepared AGAIN for low pay, long hours and late nights. All this with a goal in mind. Better QOL when you work your way up the ladder. I would approach the 121 world with long term goals and go in with that mindset. This is a stepping stone to get to the next rung on ladder. I understand where you are coming from so its either jump in now or have the possibility of regrets in the future. Neither decision is wrong because you will make do with what you have! Good luck and be optimistic about change and errors; its all in how you view the glass.... you know where I am going! LOL

Again, if you are looking for employment at any regional you are going to have to accept that at least 51% of things will not happen the way they are supposed to.
I'm not new. I've been to the puppet show and seen the strings but TSA is a complete mess and I'm not going to waste my time and money on a hotel room for a practice interview at a place I'll never work AND it be a friggin hassle just to have PRIA paperwork emailed and feel like things were set.

I read gouge of people showing up for interviews there and people not expecting them, plus training complaints on those gouge sites. It does not paint a picture of a place I want to go.

I don't mind getting effed but kiss me first.

This is why I will be making flight instructing a career (When I pass my CFI ride) with the occasional charter flight. Good luck to everyone trying out the Regionals!

What advanced aircraft?

Oh you mean the jet. Right. Sorry. Carry on.

I've tried a little bit of almost everything... Instructing, charter, and corporate. Now I fly at a regional, and I don't mind it at all. It's WAY easier to make money and have QOL than instructing ever was. There are apparently some out there that can make good money instructing, but your chances of that happening are significantly less than finding a decent job at a regional.
