HAHHA! It's amazing how a single YouTube vid can say EVERYTHING.

May they be in sync so that all of the fine city of Atlanta can recognize the extreme hotness of a stretch RJ being flown by sub contracted pilots.
Yes Joe, pot kettle black.
You're right. Especially since I don't take an active role in trying to improve our working environment to a point that might improve the rest of our segment of the profession.
Mirror...please boss.
And this is only a 6 seat difference that all this "bringing down the industry" commotion is going on about.
So, because the seat increase isn't significant, it doesn't cross a line?
How many 6-seat increases until you are into an "RJ" that seats more than mainline aircraft?
Slippery slope, and you have to draw the line somewhere.
FWIW, "new plane smell" is for pu55ies.
Sorry Cruise, but there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with celebrating a new airplane on property. Especially when it saved about 60 people from the furlough gun.
As far as the 900s belonging at mainline, I certainly agree. But its not like the regional pilots came and stole the planes. Mainline pilots are the ones that sent the planes down here. If you guys want to figure out a way for ALL regionals to come together and collectively(good luck) refuse to fly them for less than mainline rates I'm all for it. But until then we're just all going to be slinging mud at each other over large RJs. And this is only a 6 seat difference that all this "bringing down the industry" commotion is going on about.
I bet you can't wait to fly that bad boy for the same crappy pay as the 70 seater, but it's ok, this plane has first class!![]()
You guys have got to be kidding me. All of the above is grade A+ HATING....Hi Haters! Yall can be sad all you want. Im celebrating:nana2::nana2::nana2:
Yeah, there is something TOTALLY wrong about that. The plane does not belong at a regional airline. PERIOD FREAKING DOT END OF FREAKING STORY. And I do mean to piss on your parade. I prefer it never happen at all. That it did and/or that it saved 60 people at a crap regional airline (argue all you want, every regional is crap) from furlough I am not going to celebrate either. Sorry. Not gonna hapen. It doesn't matter that the mainline guys chose to let the scope escape. That still does NOT make it right for us to be doing that flying. Remember that old adage 2 wrongs don't make a right. Think about it...

You do realize that one crj900 represents -2 crj200s? That crj900 at your company equals 10 people out of work with the net loss of airframes. You do realize that? Keep celebrating maybe when they furlough you can celebrate the crj900 from the unemployment line!
Like I said, it takes great clarity to look beyond the shiny jet and to see what it truly represents for ones career. It also takes a little maturity and a smidgen of experience in the industry.
I suspect that in 10-12 years you will be able to speak on the subject more thoughtfully.
In the meantime, congratulations on your new airframe. I sincerely hope it provides you with growth and job security.
