...why is it I've read in more than a couple of newspapers (or clips) that Captain Renslow and FO Shaw were "flirting." Did people read a different transcript from the CVR than I and most other people did? Has anyone else seen this in their local papers? Where do so-called reporters draw these conclusions from? Sadly, I know today's "journalists" resort to sensationalism and outright lies to hype their stories, but seriously, WTF? :banghead:

Wow this illustration is not only sick, but very distasteful. I think what it's implying spira is that they (the pilots) couldn't fly, sort of like penguins can't fly and are still considered birds. I know it's a stretch, and pretty sad.

Didn't see that article, but read one by the family of the co-pilot saying the hearings were mistaken in the fact the F/O was not fatiged in anyway. According to the mother and husband they both spoke to her and she sounded like she did every other time and wasn't fatigued in the least.

I realize she had three days off, but a x/c country flight like she took would tire anyone. I have to think her family just didn't understand the toll that the commute took.

Jim, great find...but I hadn't even seen that article. The article in today's paper made mention of the "flirting" aspect.

Reprehensible.

Once I dug through all the potential popups (blocker was on thankfully) from the site, I actually found 3 separate articles that mentioned flirting. One each from the past three days... :banghead::banghead:

Yes men and women can work together, have a conversation and not flirt. What, did a breathlessly jealous spouse write this?
 
The 99's should be all over this. If two guys in the cockpit had the exact same conversation, would the reporter had said, "Two men, flirting in the cockpit..." Nope.
