This is actually a very interesting point. Personally, I'll only play tunes when flying while in cruise flight. On takeoff and climb, and once on approach, my tunes are off.
 
I like the Bose, my only problem is the lack of bluetooth/aux.

Guess I could've bought the Zulu's, but my big head fits better in the Bose. It's all personal really, but the Bose and Zulu are awesome products.

Ah yes, that's where my curiosity came from. I've dealt with some of their equipment in live sound situations, but I know it doesn't always necessarily transfer well to a cockpit environment. There are always more variables to consider than simply the sound quality. Good to hear that they're so good!

I haven't visited CC in literally years, although I still hang out with the F-body crowd on FRRAX from time to time. I didn't realize that CC was dead!

mute: silent; refraining from speech or utterance or not emitting or having sound of any kind

moot: of little or no practical value or meaning; purely academic

Please use them correctly :p

I'd highly recommend the Senns for aviation, and I LOVE my HD650's at home.

These days, the little online forum time I put in is between Renntech and Bimmerforums.
 
Sorry man. I figured if I could get it $100 cheaper it would've been a steal. I waited until :30 seconds until auction close and then put in $249

Not a problem at all. Congrats on the new headsets! I have a pair of Bose that will suffice for the time being.

I have to admit I really love the comply earplugs. I have some for my ipod and they're extremely comfortable.

Anybody need an 8 year old Bose X? lol

I figured mine (about the same age) would not go for much on ebay... so i posted them for 650 buy it now... they were gone in like 35 minutes...

I'd think you could try for 700... Just use lots of pics :)

I use the comply tips on all my earbuds now, love them. I get about three months before they start to fall apart (with heavy use) but new ones are cheap.
 
I wish there was a way to get the comply eartips to work with the halo. I called Phil and asked him about it and he said that since the "screw" on the comply tips would leak sound they can't be used.
 
I don't think so. The comply just has a plastic tube that fits snugly in the plastic tube. no threads, whereas the comply tips need something to screw onto

I took your advice. Started the auction at $99 with a BIN of 700. No takers at 700 and after about 48 hours the "buy it now" disappeared. It's bidding around 400 now with 6 days to go.
 
If you didn't post a reserve, as soon as there is a bid bin dissappears. Honestly, I would have been happy at 500. Retaining 50% of the value after 8 years is phenominal.

If you only got 500, that would mean you paid like 5 bucks a month to use them!

I jam my ipod earbud under my bose headset, only in my right ear, and listen to atc with my left ear. It's making me go deaf in my right ear quickly! Oh well.
