**Big News For February Applicants**

woooooooooot!!! One thing I am confused on though... in the past haven't people said they'll get a referral for a specific location?

Although, I guess they've changed their process beginning recently, so does this mean since we got this message we are going before the panel next week for whatever locations we picked?
 
Have the same message...this mean that I'm on a refferal list? Always thought it would say "BEHOLD, YOU'RE NOW ON A REFFERAL LIST", or something like that.....anyways, rock on people :nana2:

Most of the past applications were only for one state to begin with. And the 07 national one I think had you pick your geographic prefs in ASAP itself, so the single-state referral was an option. I think because we did our geo prefs outside of ASAP they aren't integrating it.

Actually, if you haven't been contacted within a couple weeks, if you check ASAP you may find a message that basically says, "someone else got this job".:crazy:

Hmm. I can see it now....

"Yes...I was wondering if you could tell me who did NOT get referred for the recent public announcement?"

"Let me see..." ::a few moments pass:: "Yes, here it is...what was your name again?" ::as she proceeds to scratch my name off the referral list:: "Buh-bye!"
 
Well I can tell you guys that their is a big get together next week, either Monday or Tuesday. I know cuz they are trying to get mine and 20 other VRA applicants their packets for security, med, psych test etc. They just sent out our tentative offer letters. None of us went to a PEPC, and they said they are trying to get them done and mailed to us as fast as possible because alot of panels were coming in Monday next week and they are going to be busy as hell next week.

So I would suggest NOT calling them next week. They are going to be extremely busy, and the more people call, the slower they can work. Just shoot them an email so they can answer it at their leisure.
 
So I guess this means that the remaining 07' applicants will be put in the same pool even though applied to individual states when we applied. I wonder how they will work that.

Only if you applied to the announcement, I'd guess. I doubt they'd just roll you into the Feb pool if you didn't apply to it. (you being a general reference)

whoa! i got referred too! feels like when you're on a rollercoaster and just about to go over the edge...
 
i have nothing new in my ASAP :mad: was wondering if anyone else didn't either... I received a notification that I was selected for the atsat on lik 3/14/08 and it said 2/15/08... so i don't know that ASAP is incredibly reliable as it is anyway. Also was wondering if you weren't what your geo pref was. I noticed indy picked up a ton of new people last round so maybe that is it? Wouldn't think it would be qualifications because I've been working in the aviation industry now for 6 years and have experience in ground control... hmm. if anyone has any ideas feel free to share.
 
Even if you were not referred, it should say "a list of eligible candidates has been identified and you were not included" or something to that effect.
 
The only things posted on my home page in ASAP are the notifications for at sat selection and score.... :confused: i guess maybe i will check back monday
