Looking at the fine print, it says on the SWA opening that you have to have either a 737 type rating, or if not, you have 6 months to get it to be an employee.

Do you have to pay that yourself? How much does it cost to get a 737 type rating?

Yes...with SW, you have to pay for it yourself. They're usually about $8K - $10K...
 
you'll make it up in the first 6 weeks at swa........

but if you had to ask that question, you probably dont have to worry about going there for a while ;)

Too bloody right, that. Gotta get a PPL first. And all the rest. But I live in dallas and I'm a HUGE fan of SWA and Herb Kelleher. If anything just because of the way the company is run.
