Anyway, the hat is optional UNLESS you are wearing an overcoat, if you were curious.

Well, technically, that's only if the overcoat is worn without epaulets. Apparently not a lot of people read that part (including at least one CP that brought it up to me) because the one winter I wore epaulets on my overcoat and no hat I got a lot of comments about it.

From first-hand experience weekends off sucks when you actively need to get sht done and everything is closed.
