Atlantic Southeast Airlines/ExpressJet

This is a question I have just out of sheer curiosity...

What is the acceptance rate of the review board? How often does it occur where one gets a conditional offer but get denied by the board?

pretty much conditional offer means jobs.

How many pilots are they plan on hiring this year. What are the figures for next year too? Are the applications running thin with HR right now. Or they still getting a steady flow of well qualified pilots.

If you're qualified now you should just apply

Does anyone know if the holds have only been VOR holds?

Yah, It's usually over the ATL VOR. Biggest mistake I've heard applicants make on the sim is not slowing down when they get their holding instructions. Slow down, then you have time to figure out your hold.

Good Luck.

Here is a little bit about my experience at the ExpressJet interview.

Day 1

1) Company presentation
2) 30 Question multiple choice written test and on the back of that test, an essay question.
3) HR questions (all written)
4) Tabular speed test
5) !Lunch break! Discuss and prepare for tech questions.
6) Interview (tech questions, maybe an HR question, logbook and go over paperwork)
7) Fingerprints and sign a few things

Day 2

1) Briefing on sim eval
2) Sim Eval (done before noon)

If you study the gouge on aviationinterviews.com you will do fine on the 30 question written exam and the tech portion. Most of them come straight from private, IFR and commercial with a few ATP questions in there. Not too difficult. The essay can be one of a few topics but we all got one on our personality. The HR questions should be no problem either (again, using common sense to answer them).

The tech portion depends on who interviews you. I was asked 4 questions and another guy was asked 15+. Dont sweat it, you will do fine with them. They are basic aviation tech questions.

The sim eval was a straight shooter. Again, all on the gouge. In a 737-200 FTD (it was a blast to fly that old steamer). Also, bring a down jacket to the sim eval. They must store meat in there somewhere. Freezing cold.

I hope I was somewhat informative. If anyone has any questions, please dont hesitate to send me a message me. I am trying to piece together the 30 question written exam at the moment (I have 18 of them so far). When I finish, I will post it if you guys would like me to. Good luck to you future interviewees! You will do great!

Was the sim steam gauges? Please do post or PM your experience with the written. I don't have anything set up with them but I am studying.

Recently interviewed. Gouges are accurate. Everyone at the company is very friendly and laid-back. Per the recruiters during the company presentation, hiring is expected to continue (I don't know at what rate) through next year (XJT side).

Seems like a great company!

The sim evaluator said it can take as little as a couple days and as long as a week and a half to hear something back.

Can anyone who recently got hired share how long it took for them to hear back?

Looks like it generally takes a while. Can't wait to hear back from them. They're definitely my number one choice.
