Ooopsie! That more jacked up than what the Air France A380 did to the Comair CR7 in JFK. It's fixable.
 
Something is certainly off here...

In order to hit that CRJ they had to taxi into an area that would quickly become a point of no return for an A350.

That is unless they were going to transition down to 9L via Ramp 1.

It will be interesting to hear the results of the investigation.
