Interview scheduled with Republic on February 8th. :-) I know there are some mixed feels on the forum here but as an aviation nut and unemployed pilot I am 100% physed.

Do you know how much TT they want if you have an internal rec. and an RJ course?

It really sucks skywest has stopped interviews. I'm trying to get people in and I know we still understaffed.

Theyve asked for Interviewer volunteers, so i dont know if that means youll get a whole new batch of question being asked then previous, or just different people asking the same questions. Good Luck.

Skyw82. Thanks for the help getting some info out of SKW. I had a email from recruiting two day after you handed my resume off. It was great just finding out what was going on.

I wouldn't be comfortable trying to carve a career out from X until 65 as a subcontractor! :) If the name of the side of the jet isn't the name that's emblazoned across my W-2, it's "at risk" flying.

Short to medium term, sure, knock yourself out. However the industry seems to restructure itself every decade or so; Personally I suggest positioning yourself to move up the food chain (MLB) and expecting to carve out a AAA career.

Interesting. I was under the same mind set of hanging around a regional for the "security" of seniority but your statement has got me thinking.

As for stating goals.....I have never been to a "meet and greet" and I have a hard time discussing personal goals without having met someone in person.

But. I am trying.

Anyways....Thanks

Don't forget about the CAP, Aviator College and Flying Musicians ;)

Did ya have any luck?

Oh yeah, forgot about the others!

XJT: I have 3 checkride failures, therefore I am scum.
Compass: They weren't interested.
Gojet: Seemed very interested
SkyWest: I interviewed with them before and babbled like an idiot and didn't get the call, but they said to send an email and maybe they'll reconsider.
Airnet: Didn't talk to them. I think it would be a bad career move for me/company doesn't seem to be in a good position from what the other posts on here say.
Cape Air: I didn't think they were interested. I have too many hours to hang out for long with them.

How about you?

Meh they all told me pretty much the same thing, come and see us when you meet the mins. Which is what I was expecting... Overall I think it was a good experience, it was nice to get some face time with the recruiters there so I didn't feel like just another random applicant out of the thousands that apply.

On the networking with other pilots side, it seemed like everyone I talked to was excited to share information and experiences which was awesome. I met two guys from Sierra West who talked like they needed pilots down there so I applied but haven't heard back.

Stay away from Sierra West!! Really good friend flew there.Heard some crazy stuff! O and when you leave theyll go after you for training costs

A few guys there got interviews on the spot. Were you one of em?

I found this out shortly after applying while doing some research on the place haha. Did he break a training contract or leave early? Or do they try to recover those costs no matter what?

Didn't get an interview on the spot with Gojet, but two of my friends interviewed with them earlier (neither got hired, but the recruiters remembered them) said good things about me and I think they're waiting for the airlineapps to come online fully for the interview call. At least I hope.

Why wasn't CapeAir interested? Not sure, but I think the fact that I have an ATP and 4000 hours means that I wouldn't stay there very long (at least that's my opinion of their thought process).
