The thing about cats is they're wily, independent thinkers. Ever tried to make a cat pay attention to you if THEY didn't want to?

Good luck with that. Cats tell YOU when they need attention. Most people who live with cats will agree the cat owns YOU, you don't own the cat.

This cat just ignores stupid, racist, right wingers, but other than that she purrs and listens to all.

One does not have to be phony to present one's opinion without fire & brimstone. ;)

I too, agree with a lot (but not all) of Velo's content, however the presentation does not do much for swaying others' opinions.

Amber, my post was in response to the poster who insinuated that Velo was sucking up to the mods in order to not get kicked off this site. I wasn't commenting on Velo's delivery of his message. :)

What exactly are you trying to say? :confused: It seems a little defensive. I'm trying to interpret the meaning of your post. Certainly you aren't defending phonies and racists? And please do tell me who I was calling a name. I was making a statement about phonies and racists in general. I see no problem with offering my opinion that Velo is not a phony. The way he chooses to deliver his message may ruffle a few feathers, but I can't understand why you would have a problem with my opinion that he is not a phony.

My comment is not about Velo or you defending him. Your consistent use of labels just seems a little odd considering San Francisco types are typically known for being free thinkers and somewhat against attaching labels. All of us here on JC can be labeled as something be it phony, racist, homophobic, liberal, hillbilly-ish, conceited, ugly, uneducated, Mormon, atheist, conservative and on and on. It is the diversity that offers the depth of our discussions. Don't read more into my comments than you should - they are what they are.
 
Maybe I'm missing something, but I haven't seen any phony people on here since Tomcatter. I'd be interested to hear who these "phony" people are.

Seggy outed someone during the ALPA drive at Colgan, AmazingGuy or something like that. He was trolling for CPG as a Colgan pilot and gave out a name that was never a Colgan Pilot
