Announcement Ending 05/02

Is it a bad sign if I don't see anything on ASAP indicating that I'm on a referral list for PUBNAT2? Or, like everything else, is this just going to happen at different times for different people?

Did you check the right spot?

Click the Applications tab, then click the Submitted link next to your Pub2 application?
 
I thought there would be a list of names for the referral. Instead, it says your application is among those being reviewed. You may or may not be asked to do an interview. Does this mean I am still on track? How long until we here about interviews? I know this is in the thread somewhere, but I don't feel like sifting through all of the chatter.

Yep... that means you're on the list. For PUBNAT1, their referral list came out 6/6, their panels met the week of 6/9 and they started receiving PEPC invites 6/19. That's really all we have to compare to right now.
 
will they send out an email as usual stating a place to call to schedule an interview or will we actually receive a phone call this time? And to add, my tab also reads: " Your application is among those being reviewed by the office with announcement # AAC-AMH-08-PUBNAT2-09140. You may or may not be contacted for an interview. Please continue to check back for status updates."

Next thing to expect will be an email. Assuming we are selected, it will go like this:
It will tell us the state we have been selected for, and it will give us a list of the cities and dates PEPCs are taking place. We will need to respond to the email with what city and date we would LIKE to attend. We will then wait more.
Eventually, we will get a confirmation email for the city and date we chose, or possibly one that we didn't choose if the first choice was full. The confirmation email has been known to show up very close to the actual PEPC date, so those selected will need to be ready to go with very little notice.
I haven't seen anyone getting a phone call this early in the process. Looks like any phone calls received have been regarding class date changes and the like.
 
No problem. So far we are following the exact same course as the Feburary applicants, so I imagine the rest of the process will play out very similar.

Who wants to start taking bets on when the First Pubnat2's get to OKC.

I am putting down FEB 9, 2009 as the first date....and that's if you go to the first PEPC offered....

Some of us that go to the last pepc offered wont get to OKC until April....

I had no Idea what I was in for....you know we only get so many years on this planet....
 
So everyone keeps saying that you we will not get be confirmed for pecp until last min. And that's ok. But I put in for days off at my current job by the 23 for the next month. I have a lot of vac. Time and personal days left this year by they pretty much require advance notice to. My question is does anyone have some good excuses I could tell my boss now as to why I would need some last min. Time off next month (assuming the pecp is next month).
 
I just told them I was interviewing for a federal job last min and that I'm sorry but its more important then missing a couple of days of work :crazy:. They're going to find out anyways after PEPC when they start mailing out those letters to your employers.

Judging by your grammar & spelling... I'd say your drunk as a skunk... why don't you go the rehab route, that'll get you some time off.

Shaba- Boss...I need some time off.

Boss- Why?

Shaba- Well Boss, I received a letter from the Federal Government. They have requested my presence in New York city next week.

Boss- What For?

Shaba- Well Boss, I have to give an interview with a government investigator for a private matter. In fact, the government may be in contact with you soon. I absolutely have to be in NYC on this date. Not showing up may cost me some money. I really hope you understand.

Boss- Oh..Ok....by the way...some guy named Raydon called for you while you were out.

I don't understand (and never have) why people have to give their boss A REASON to be out. You vacation/sick days are YOUR vacation/sick days. I've worked at 2 corporate jobs and never once have I HAD to tell my boss why I'm taking a day off. If I do tell them, it's b/c I'm being nice, but I've never been obligated to. I mean...they either approve it or don't...but I'd be damned if my boss is going to demand a reason in order to say "YES" or "NO" to it. I mean...if I say, "My child is sick..." is that any better or worse than "I have a doctor's appointment."
