The pay raise is more for recruiting going forward versus retention of current people, the way I look at it.

I think so too. With the new scale I wouldn't have had to take a pay cut to come here and would probably have done so way quicker than I did.

I am not sure I personally know any current AMFers on here by username. Several guys that have moved on I know though. Actually I take that back I know one or two by name. I think it speaks to a company's character if they are more concerned with going after people who speak honestly on websites, than to make actual changes. Not saying that AMF is doing this, just stating an opinion.

If you apply, you will get a job. Unless you are completely retarded. And that isn't a knock on Skywest, they are just into full hiring swing just like everyone else and they love AMF guys.
Don't know you, but I hope so too. They should if you give them the courtesy of an application. Butts in seats are in high demand here and everywhere else.
The new payscales are designed to influence a specific progression. Looks like 3 full years essentially, where you can: start with the PA-31 in year 1, move to the 99 within 6 months to a year, then around year 1.5/2 get your type rating/ATP in something bigger and thus earn ~1000TPIC.
Get that done and you're slated perfectly for the allegiant agreement. Makes sense to me.

Pardon me for not being familiar with this, but what is the "...allegiant agreement." ? First time I've seen the term.

Guaranteed interview with Allegiant after, three years at AMF, 1500tt at AMF, 1000 TPIC, be typed in an aircraft, 9 months in a supervisory role (ACP, Training Captain, etc.).
