Ameriflight

Probably bad for the company. I'd have to imagine they're hurting for pilots or a lot of flying is going away because it used to be like 1.2 pilots per airplane or so.

I'm sure it's a mix of the two. There are a lot of bases losing runs in the last few years.

Hey Guys,

Would Ameriflight hire you directly into the base of your choice? For example, I want the Brownwood, Tx B99 run but I would not take any other base, save possibly DFW. I have MU-2 and SA-227 time so I am not worried about the experience issue, but I want to be sure they don't put me anywhere else.

Thanks

Where they say they will send you and where you go out of training can be very different. Even saw someone quit after being told he would be able to run a business while flying in CVG. He quit after his first cross training flight.

Call the ACP in Dallas and ask.

Like y'all said, what they say and what they do are two different things. Would it be out of place to get that particular run put into my training contract, or have a confirmation email sent to be sure they don't try to send me elsewhere?

Brownwood comes open every two or three months so if you time it right it should be easy to get. It isn't open right now but in the next month it will probably be needing a pilot again.
