Ameriflight

Yep, I'm one of the pilots up here in LAN . As for the other two pilots, one came from the previous company and the other one was a new hire.

And JayAre , sorry for stealing one of your 19 hundos. I promise to take care of it and send pictures every week :)

A wild Russian appears!

Ya think!
We have a Martin air van diver who is in training for metro with minimum of a hours needed to get a multi comm
If its who I think it is he spent over a year flying the Van so he has quite a bit of turbine time. He also flew a twin commander for 6 months or so so he's got a tad bit more multi time than a fresh multi comm.

I also know the guy taking the DFW metro slot. He's got quite a bit of turbine time from flying the Van, but I'm not sure what his multi time is.

In response to the flight time question, asked a couple pages ago. The previous estimate for Puerto Rico is accurate. Depending on which long run I'm flying, my block at the end of the day is 6-6.5+ on 4 legs. Got a little over 30 hours just last week. Averaging mid 80s to low 90s a month.

Well, I just got the offer for either a March 11th Class with either Hayward or Unknown Base, or April 8th for Portland. Portland is looking better out of the two. What are the runs like up in PDX?

I have no idea when this was last update, but should give you an idea.

Most of the pa31 runs are like a 5 something show for a 6 something departure. Back home around 2000-2030

You know I don't see any of the bank runs listed there. It looks like only UPS.

That makes sense. Sorry for asking a ton of questions, but what are the outstations for PDX? Also, I've heard horror stories about the crew apartments, anything I need to know before I dive in head first into this?

LMT, RDM, LGD are the outstations.

Bring your own sheets. Check for bed bugs. Congrats on the interview.

When did you interview, out of curiosity?

I interviewed on Monday, knew right at the end that the assistant chief pilot was telling Sheri to send me to ground school. Sheri called the next day with the offer. It was a really simple process. I accepted the April 8th class, for Portland.

Thanks for the info. I'm in a bit of an odd situation, in that I'm committed to my job to a certain date, so I'm trying to figure out when to start putting things out there to move on.

i thought i was going to portland too, company needs. Company needs.
Good luck getting there.

Bed bugs are real. Wish i still had the photo on my phone.

The day you pass your checkride put a standing bid for SLC

Thanks, I will. When I interviewed, Eric said that they had two guys in training right now for SLC. I'm not sure how many more y'all need here before you are fully staffed. Hopefully I can pick up a slot soon. Do you know what the insurance requirements are for the 99?

I only had 300 multi before they let me move to SLC so get the hours up. People are leaving as fast as they come here so hurry up

That shouldn't be a problem. By the time I get to class, I will probably be around 400 multi. Hopefully things are still open here around May or so, whenever I get that checkirde done.
