Embellished, but the issue is resolved. It wouldn't have been in the past and we would have lost an excellent pilot.

Which is why I'm strongly against any non-sense with the 99 incident.

I've seen the after-math of a super decathlon hitting tower cables and the 99 doesn't match the damage.

Well I think we have all seen airplanes hit objects and none of them have ever looked like that.
No, but last I checked, neither of us, or anyone that currently or previously worked at AMF, are engineers or accident investigators.

An A&P is not even close to making one an authority either.

I miss your scent...

Hahaha first time back on in MONTHS and I happen across this gem. I miss you too, Mayo . You know just how to give me them sweaty pants .

To address the logging of SIC time, AMF just published a notice regarding this:

Basically, the SIC (under the exemption) can log the time, but it doesn't count towards time required for an ATP certificate.

Haha, so what does it count towards?

I mean you can put anything in a logbook you want if it's not in furtherance of a certificate or rating.

A handful have bailed for the regionals after only a couple months in the 99 too! If they qualify for the restricted ATP, they're probably OK (You could get 300 hours in 6 months on some of the runs) if they came here with 700 hours or more, but I'm wondering about a few of them now...

Not many actually police this. It's why you have guys at regionals as captain that went there with nothing but unqualifying 135 time. Company was too stupid to know differently, and even the local FAA guys generally don't know.

Can you post the official notice?

Why does it, or how does it not count towards ATP mins per the regs? AMF just loves shooting themselves in both feet.

Yeah...I'd like to know the same. I'm an AMF employee for 2 more days and have yet to see a notice, but I've heard the same thing. I thought legal total time was legal total time per the FAA...
