I'm not too fond of prostate exams of course, but the Eagle exam was no different than any other.

It may be that only men over 30 get prostate exams. Under 30 you are not really a threat for prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is a lot more common than one might think and there are quite a few guys that I know at work that have had it.

From what I hear, I'd rather endure a regular prostate exam than deal with years of therapy to treat it!

Best to catch it early, because if you catch it late, yikes!
 
I've even heard that some married couples check each other out monthly...an activity best saved for the shower!

They are probably accurate, remember all the other legacy carriers have forced there pilots to take paycut. Delta's pay charts will most likely be smaller sooner than later... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
 
Went through the Eagle interview, and passed. There was a 50 question atp test, HR questions. Tech questions on Jepp charts, combined with decision making questions too. Passed it all. Then it was the sim. Flying a Boeing 707 full motion at the AMR flight academy. Was given LAX 24R ILS, with a hold over the Seal Beach VOR. Lots of fun, a little intimidating at first, but then after flying it for about five minutes, you realize its just another airplane.

Then next day is medical. No prostate tests, or stooling, or anything that painful. Just two pee tests, blood, cognitive test, AKGs, hearing, eyesight, reflexes, and some more. Really intense medical.

Waiting for Medical, and FBI background to clear out, to be offered a class date. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bandit.gif

If you were already offered a Captain position in any turbine a/c you would do better to stay there and get that PIC time than to quit and log SIC at any regional.

Because it's probably easier to schedule new pilot evaluation sim rides in a model that doesn't get used any more.

Kind of like learning to drive in Grandpa's car compared to using your father or mother's car they use for work.

Exactly. Except sometimes it does and then they use the Saab or Embraer sims. AMR contracts the 707/KC-135 sim out quite often to the military for tanker training. So depending on the training needs of the Air Force, you could get the 707 or someting else.
 
Well folks...
I passed everything at Eagle, except the Cog medical test. I was really tired, and exhausted when I took it, and I think I rushed through it.

I have an option of doing it again on my own expense, but the doctors have quoted me anything around $700 to $4500 to retake it.

I guess accepting captain here where I am at will be next in line. I also had an interview with PSA, but as of today it was posponed until further notice. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif
