Alaska landing incident SNA

The rumor goes that because of the number of operations we have at that airport, we are voluntarily continuing with the noise abatement (cutback) procedure there even though the NG and the Max both fall below the noise threshold during a normal takeoff…

But that’s neither here nor there with what happened on this landing. There are just some airports where you carve that little donut shaped hole in your seat cover on the best of days, and SNA is one of them. I think given the weather, and the short runway, that could have been any one of us.

Anybody know if they evacuated?

Looking at the video, it’s really hard to tell, but it doesn’t look like anything out of the ordinary is going on and just planted it, but I’m really surprised it didn’t hold up any better than that. Hard to tell from seat 24A with that %]*}^ alarm going off though

The 737 is a tank though. I cant Imagine what it would take for that to happen. It’ll be interesting to read the NTSB report on this one.
