if you dont wanna go very fast and wanna stay cheap, you cant beat a 152.

if you want faster and more seats,

highwing- 172 would be perfect.

lowwing- piper- cherokee, warrior

beechcraft- sundowner

grumman- tiger, cheetah, traveler

tail dragger- Maule

btw, if a 152 might be what you want, I got one for sale

I say get something like an RV-6/7 or an 8..

Lots of good about them:

-Cheap to insure.
-Cheap to operate.
-Tons of people flying them.
-They come either with or without the sissy wheel
-Decent cruise speed.
