Airplane crash at PBI

These last 24 hours have been the absolute worse in my life, please keep my friends and their families in your prayers, as well as all of us at FIT Aviation. Things will never be the same.

Just saw the pictures of the four involved - one family just lost two sons. Absolutely horrible - all way too young.

News story I read said several people on board 121 flights saw the accident. What a horrific thing to witness.

Ugh, one of the girls posted this on her FB page ...

flying to the bahamas with Kris as PIC!!! please don't text/call me from 8am til about 8pm...gonna be a great day!

Sends chills down your spine. Absolutely horrible :(

There is nothing that will remove that pit from your stomach. Unfortunately, I experienced something very similar and know what their families, friends and loved ones are going through.

It will be a very tough time for all involved. You will always think about it. I still think back about our incident all these years later at random times. Definitely reading the article brought those 13 years back in a hurry.

Times like this cause one to take stock, and remind yourself of what is important.

Remember: Be safe out there. Remember those that have passed before us, and celebrate the living.

I was out at the airport most of the day, there was a CFI from my local FBO that was departing PBI when this happened. Certainly a somber day around Florida airports.

Your right SatelliteBeachPilot, it will not be the same. Im from the FIT Aviation community, and it has been tough. Im absolutely shocked from this. Especially since I knew 3 of the individuals personally. Sad day for the flying community.

Thought and prayers for the families of all those involved.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the candelight vigil tonight, it was truly a spectacular showing of love for our loved ones. For those who couldn't make it, we appreciate your continued support and prayers at this time. Thank you to all.

The unfortunate thing too, is that you'll have to get used to it in the world of aviation. It certainly won't be the last event like this you'll experience if you keep aviation as a career. I can count on almost 5 hands the number of people off the top of my head I personally knew as friends or acquaintences who perished in aviation accidents. And I've witnessed first-hand 8 of those accidents, with an additional number of them where I didn't know anyone.. Its the suck side of this business. At first, you're shocked at it occurring. Sadly, after it constantly recurring, you just become numb.

Condolences.

It was very touching indeed and great to see that many people come out to support the FIT Community. Never forget and blue skies and eternal tailwinds..

Unfortunately this is the 3rd time in my short career I've gone through this, once with family. Just like the Dean said last night, it won't be the last time and it doesn't get any easier.
