Airplane crash at PBI

Possibly N883FT, that's the only PA-44 I see. Is that a Florida Tech plane?

RIP to those who lost their lives :(

I don't think it's 883FT. Flightaware shows it landed in the Bahamas 4 hours ago. This plane supposedly took off at 6 and crashed right after takeoff.

Speculating about who might be dead doesn't seem like a very good idea. I know I'd not be happy if somebody did that about one of my planes and it wasn't.

Kinda hard to speculate when it's the only PA-44 out of PBI (flightaware does track vfr like ifr). AJC is reporting the same... So it what it is.

We pray for those lost and for the recovery of the one in the hospital.

Please don't speculate as to the cause of this out of respect for the FIT Family. Thanks.

My most sincere condolences. However, part of being in aviation is that accidents are discussed openly. As facts come out, they will be discussed, and rightly so, as we all can learn from things like this, and make our industry safer.

I think they are just meaning that speculation isn't such a great idea until next of kin is notified. I'd much rather learn from the proper officials than a casual internet search (on the off chance that were to happen)

RIP my friends, and fellow aviators.

I knew two of those involved personally, spoke with them 2 weeks ago. My condolences to the family's.

You are all in my prayers.

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
