It's one of those things that's like a pain in the ass girlfriend. I get how she thinks, but it just gets annoying and less straightforward than I want it to be sometimes. The folks who have more than a year flying Buses and still can't figure out how the autoflight works are idiots. It really isn't that hard, when all else fails turn it off and hand fly - or be paying attention enough to see where it'll have trouble meeting a restriction or whatever ahead of time and intervene. Not only is there a ton of space up front, it's quiet and starting it takes like two steps. Haven't flown the Guppy yet but I doubt a four leg day is as easy as one on the -320
A 737 is a 320 is a Prevost X3-45. And all are superior to a 717.
It is kind of funny sitting up front and watching a heavy 321 try to make the arrival into SAN work.
Ironically, the 717 was, any time other than climbing above 10,000, the absolute most fun, best handling, and most versatile plane I've ever flown. If you can see the runway through the windshield you can land.
tbf, all my hatred of the 717 derives from its climb performance below 10k
MD-80 was like that too. Having slats max speed at 280 knots really helped. If you can see the runway through the windshield you can land.
That's because Delta derates their climbs.
So you hate the Big D? That's not what I heard.yes, and that’s why I hate them.

Reading this I just learned that you prefer the small D. It's okay, I don't judge.

Don't kink shame, bro.

Haven't flown it, but IMO the 320 is extremely overrated.

It’s certainly the finest aviation appliance I’ve ever operated for hire.In terms of what? It's an airplane. You fly it for pay. What's overrated about that? It's quiet and comfortable. Give me boring.
