Those who received interviews, how much experience do you have dispatching? Just curious..

5 yrs at UPS

I would stay at UPS. We have hired almost 300 under age 45 dispatchers and flightkeys is likely long term going to result in desk count reduction. Retirements are slowing down after the covid buyouts and not as many left as there were. You will probably be better of staying at UPS instead of being junior for 20 or 30 years.

Everyone here gets it.

Good luck all.

@nolayup - Louavul always had my curiosity. Cincinnati kinda killed it. Would a drive down I-71 been worth it, on a slow weekend?

Just a heads up for those flying in to interview on Thursday and Friday that snow is in the forecast Thursday and Friday. Even if snow accumulation is light, DFW does not handle it very well and chances are high of large cancellation packages for Thursday and Friday if the forecast continues to show snow.

TWC saying 5-8” of snow and ice and the phone’s weather app saying 9-11” for Thursday, with another 1-3” Friday morning. Going to be “unprecedented” as AA’s VP likes to say, here in DFW Thursday and Friday.

No snow plows and TX drivers = a bad time. Hope those interviews are getting knocked out before or after. Have a plan B for getting home too if you’re flying in and make it. But hey as a bonus, you may get to see first hand IROPs in action at AA. Good luck, and stay safe everyone. Will be interesting.
