With Christmas, New Years, the usual HR red tape and target start date of January 27 class, interviews will likely have to be end of next week or very soon after new years day. If selected, its very possible you wont be able to give two weeks notice in your current job given the ambitious timeline. The hiring process is going to move fast with this class so expect to get an interview date quickly.

I'm internal at AA and haven't heard anything new. Wondering if anyone has gotten an assessment invitation yet?

Is the pay scale listed on the spreadsheet correct for AA?
That info is from the TA being signed 2 years ago. Our DOS raise is actually next week, so as of end of December starting pay should be $7597/month. Keep in mind you make 79% of the full pay until you have checked out and upgraded out of training. Once you have full pay you should be making $99,706/yr (including your license pay). We are also scheduled 1752 hours a year with a 1 hour overlap when our relief comes in. Which means we actually work 1664 hours a year, unless you pick up OT. Scheduled to work 9 hr shifts, usually leave after 8.

You might be right about it being a tight turnaround for giving notice. I have a good reason to believe that interviews will take place during the week of the 6th - 10th.

Well when were the dates for the interviews? I think he/she is just saying it’s improbable right now just because there is no one there to send out invites. But maybe they did before they left for vacation or they have someone else doing it?
American's recruiters (like PSA) often work from home.
"in the office" is relative for them where it regards flex-time.

Here is part of the email that the person I know received.

"Thank you for your interest in a career at American Airlines!
We have reviewed your application and would like to invite you for an in-person interview in Dallas, Texas to further discuss your skills and experience. Interviews are being held on Tuesday to Thursday, January 7, 8, and 9, 2024. Please note, these are the only planned interview dates currently."

For what it’s worth, being more conservative is a better approach in my opinion. Going no-beard will never hurt your chances whereas beard, depending on how it’s kept, can make a bad impression. Same goes for hiding things like tattoos and certain piercings.
