A330 lust

Twin... yawn. :)

For twins, the 757 is about the only thing that turns my head. That, or most filthy turbo-props. Beech doesn't apply. :)

She is. But she looked better in her last life.

And would have looked better yet in the livery at the time the 330s were ordered:

THIS :D

But the new paint is mighty sexy too.

What's the old saying....Boeing builds airplanes, Douglas builds character.

After flying the fat older sister (A300), I've always lusted over the younger, sleeker and faster A330/340 models.

While Doug will be developing carpal tunnel from "flicking" his sidestick (we are still taking aviation here, aren't we?), I'll be building arm, back and shoulder strength wrestling the Mack Daddy Maddog.

Congrats on your new ride, Doug!

Looks like Airbus is seriously thinking of re-engining the A330 to keep stealing potential Boeing customer away from the 787.

I doubt they build it.

What financial sense does it make?
The reason they re-engined the 32X is because they sell hundreds of them a year and have a huge backlog... not so with the 330.
And if you recall they already tried to re-engine the 330... it was the original 350. They gave up on that PDQ.

It's not the size of the airplane, CaptBill, it's how you fly it!

Personally, I prefer the looks of the 737. It's cute. It looks like it ate a bunch of people and got fat!
