9E/9L/XJ Tentative Agreement Reached 12/17/2010

Soft pay can be VERY beneficial....At ASA I have flown 781 hours year-to-date, but have credited 911 hours. It's like getting 7 weks extra pay every year!!!! That includes deadhead, min day, lost block, duty-credits, etc

What's that? First round is on you?

Well...911 divided by 12 puts it at about 75.91 credit per month. So, I mean...not really much soft pay there above min. guarantee each month - just going off of an average of course.

I take that block or better for granted. I forget pinnacle has that weird 15 minute thing.

I forget how good I have it sometimes. God I'm glad I didn't stay at Colgan, I'd have burned the place down.

Ps. Nice to have you back on here.

We have a lot of weird things..

1/2 pay on deadheads..
15 minute thing..
and more but maybe those are heading the way of the dinosaur..

We've got the halfpay on deadheads too. Sometimes if it's two legs, fly then deadhead, min day can make it feel like 100%.

We have 1/2 pay for deadheads as well, unless the only thing you do that day is DH. A lot of guys have actually lost pay on a day where they were scheduled to double deadhead for full pay and then ended up flying one of the legs (for full pay but went to half pay on the other leg).

Exec summary this week, full language after the MEC vote. Possibly just before.. that will be early January.

I heard as early as tomorrow on a summary. I'm hoping that soon for 2 reasons, 1 because Im excited as hell to see it, and 2 to stop any negative rumors about what may or may not be in it.

Tomorrow night or tuesday to be specific.

I'm sorry...I just accepted Sked+ at it's word and didn't actually double check with my records. I just added it up manually and I come out to 1093 hours of credit (about 91 hrs average) with 781 block. Lineholder FO for 9 months and Captain reserve for 3 months. Take out 42 hours of that for vacation, roughly 25 hours sick pay and the rest is "soft pay". Roughly 245 hours. That includes training, lost block, min day, duty credit, deadhead, jury duty, trips removed for training, etc.... I'm just trying to give the most accurate picture I can.

"What's that? First round is on you? "

If you folks at Pina Colada truly have acheived an industry leading contract that helps out the industry, then yep....the first round is on me!

Executive summary comes out tomorrow, P2P conference call on tuesday, and all pilot conference call on wednesday.

Sounds a bit better now...:)

However, I will be back in Atlanta towards the end of January, after that point - we will need to have another Atlanta M&G.

All pilot conference call is cancelled or at the very least postponed at CJC. With the volume of information and probable Questions, it will be more effective to just focus on roadshows.

Just a reminder to everyone: Even with a lack of an all pilot conference call... if you have questions, call a rep!

I hope they still do a conference call at some point. With the out stations, guys on reserve that don't touch an airport and the timing of some roadshows (let's have a question and answer time when the push leaves and then finish when they return!) you end up having alot of guys who just simply can't make it.

Well, from what I've seen so far.....I'm VERY optimistic. Health care is gonna be an interesting issue for me. I know it's gonna go up, but one of the issues I think I may run into is there's no generic brand for one of my wife's meds. That could knock me for a few bucks a month right there depending on how it's handled. Back when she was on her insurance at Starbucks, her meds weren't in their formulary (basically a list of drugs they like), which meant we got the joy of paying retail on them until my 9E insurance kicked in.

Like has been mentioned, executive summary some time this week, hard language details sometime in mid Jan. From what we're hearing, the MEC vote will be in mid-Jan. If it passes them, look for roadshows and a probably voting window opening in late Jan-mid Feb with a projected DOS of March 1st. There's apparently going to be some programming changes with CrewTrac, PBS, etc, so some of the things will have to be phased in over time. Most of the juicy bits should take effect on the DOS, though.
