757 A/T failure

Oh he was pretty insistent, then called over his big sister for backup. Ha! :)

Don’t spend thanksgiving in Florida with family. It’s always weird.

The schools in Florida really aren't that bad. Haha

But I do think these kids wearing hoodies outside when it's 94 degrees out and 98% humidity is affecting their brain development. Haha (Just my unscientific observation)

I see this an Arizona too and it baffles me. I get the "keeping the sun" thing off, but there's generally special clothes made for that that won't cause you do have heatstroke.

That’s not a child problem, that’s an adult problem.

I know a couple teenagers headed to college that literally were taught in school that you can’t stand on the equator because the earth spins so fast at that point and you’d be dizzy.

Florida schools, man.
Ban those books though. They’re tackling the hard hitting issues.

It's their new fashion. Look to seeing hoodies and wide leg jeans soon! They are bringing back the late 90's!

It works. But they've been wearing winter attire in July and with long pants. It's insane!

Use to watch a loader in SLC, during mid summer and 90+ degrees, walk out to the airplane in a black hoodie (with the hood up over his head) and black sweat pants and construction boots. He’d then crawled into the belly which must’ve quickly become a sauna. Dude looked like a prize fighter walking into the gym for a workout. Strangely enough, in January he’d wear a pair of shorts and a hoodie….

See I just don’t get this in the airlines. Not that I hate my coworkers or anything, but you never fly with the same people enough to really get to know them and let’s be honest, we spend the overwhelming majority of our time with the person in the seat next to us and a lot of us are pretty weird and not in a cool way. I had a great captain this last trip, union rep, PBS guru/committee member, bought dinner AND Starbucks, and just generally pleasant to be around. But with nearly 200 captains in the base my odds of flying with him again are low, and we’re a small base. And if you have any FAs who are cool, at Eskimo either you’ll only have them for 1 leg (after which point my goldfish brain completely forgets them) or at the least you overnight at a different hotel and will probably never fly with them again because we mix and match crews so much. I already posted about it but it just doesn’t compare to the camaraderie at the last job.

Then you’re doing it wrong. Create the relationships you want.

I’ve made good friends with several CAs I’ve flown with as well as a number of FOs and CAs in my crash pad. A few inflight, too.

It does require a little extra effort beyond the pairing but I’ve found it to be worth it.

I miss my synthetic vision. Other than a few months before we got it in the Lears, the 73 is the first thing I’ve flown in like 12 years that didn’t have it. Oh and BTW for @ppragman and @Capt. Chaos the Chelton is still the best for hand flying and avoiding terrain that I’ve used.
I really liked the G1000, but yeah, the Chelton was still "the best" for comitting acts of piracy
