.....
50 hours in PA-28 aircraft, with 10 hours in proceeding 90 days in type

I wonder if there are any PA28 aircrafts available for rent anywhere within the U.S. after reading this. I have some hours in PA28's ~ 45 maybe, but for sure no 10 in the last 90 days. Still try? :confused:

:::::

Now to something completely different:
Did anyone hear back from the Parachuting Company that was looking for a 182/206 driver?

Also, which PA-28.... 140 or 180 or 235. All the same airframe but different animals. 50 hours in a 140 is not the same as 50 in the 235.

140s and 180s are used a lot for training, so renting one shouldn't be too difficult.

I have about 200 hours in a PA28-235

Sounds kinda fun!
But MN doesn't ;)

:yup:

Hey now, Minnesota rocks. It got above freezing here for a few seconds a coupla weeks back. And there's only like three more months of winter left before it's mosquito season (the official state bird of Minnesota.) :)

Been great flying of late. Ice every day, snowstorms, cold and windy. Why do I live here again?

On the low-time job front, these guys had a fire patrol contract with the MN DNR a year or two back and were looking for 500 PIC (not TT but PIC) to do patrols in 172s. The pay was decent IIRC, something like $150/day whether you flew an hour or 8.

I don't know if they still have a contract, or even if they're still in business, but if anybody's interested it couldn't hurt to drop a line and find out. Guy's name is Aaron Murray, amurray@niemiaviation.com.
