Making the dreaded lateral. Ive spent the past 2 years at Air Wisconsin but I start class next month at CommutAir.
Super tough decision but I believe it's the best move for me and my family.
Hey guys!
Does anyone have any training material for the dash that they could share? Anything would help especially anything on the FMS. I appreciate it!
Hey guys!
The wife and I are moving into a new house next week and I had a quick question about submitting for a change of address.
I've found where to do it online and request a new certificate but what do I do about my medical? Is there a way to update it or do I just update it at my next...
First off thank you for your service.
I did 7 years in the Air National Guard and my regional airline didn't even ask to see my 214. Not sure about the majors.
I normally disconnect the autopilot once I hear "Wisconsin xxxx, cleared for the river visual 19 approach". That seems to be what most captains I fly with also do.
Like others have said you don't have to get one, BUT you going to have to really look hard for a job and may have to make certain sacrifices for said job. I made it to a regional airline without it.
This one hits close to home for me. I did my instrument and commercial all at Frederick before there was a tower. I hate to say it but this accident doesn't surprise me at all. It was nothing to have to dodge other people while flying there. There were at least 3 times that I was very close to...

Really? Most every controller I deal with on a daily basis is great. Ive never once been ticked off as most controllers are professional and realize their job isn't some game.
Rumor is we have been extended beyond 2015 for some of our aircraft. As of now the company isn't saying anything and a lot of us are beginning to get nervous.
Moved on to the Telex. Loved the clarity's but ready to try something new. Plus we fly so slow wind noise isn't an issue. My headset normally comes off above 18.
Up for sale are my TSO Clarity Alofts. Purchased them last november. Great shape and will include a pack of the medium canal plugs and case. Looking to get $500 but will take reasonable offers!
I'm currently a first year FO and can tell you it's not as bad as most make it out to be. The money could be better but the job itself is great.
Keep plugging away and keep your head up.
Ive had back pain for the past 5 years now. The wallet trick truly works. Anytime I'm driving it comes out of my back pocket and anytime I'm flying it does into my flight case. I also bought myself an inversion table and love the thing. Anytime my back flares up I get on the table for about 10...
