ATC responded..its a lear!
We were at FL500. We were on a block between FL490 and FL510.
It was a LR45 as well.

Now if we could just keep the temperature at ISA we might have a shot at getting up there when we're heavy!
Wait a second....you used to be one of those silly RJ pilots not too long ago!!!!
If it makes you feel better, when it's ISA+10 or better, we're not doing much better than 1,000 fpm when we get to FL400...and if we want to get higher we're generally struggling at 500 fpm. And that's if we're light!
Those temperatures just are no friend to anybody.
The 700 performs much better though, it is more a 'real' airplane
