How old and do you have a picture of her?

Really? The bigger question is, do you charge them for your opinion?![]()
Oh Staplegun, you're on the bad FO list now too! Now I don't feel so bad.
I'm on the list again since today. We had a brand new hire that came to the cockpit to look around and say hi. The older flight attendant ran up to the cockpit, physically pulled her out and exclaimed, "She's GOT to get to work" and slammed our door shut.
I was already done with my duties, so I walked to the back of the aircraft where she was standing around the galley doing nothing, brought her back to the cockpit and introduced her to the rest of the crew and showed her around and we all took time to answer her questions.
Apparently, during the flight, she got a lecture about how all pilots lie, always wear your wedding band, never trust pilots and never 'fraternize' with them. Blah blah blah.
So we got to the layover hotel and the captain covered drinks and tapas for her apart from the rest of the flight attendants. In fact, the rest weren't even invited to go out with us.
Methinks she's going to have a long ride back to JFK but there's no point in wrecking a new employee's spirit so early in the game with your petty emotional baggage. Good for her!
Egads. The NAPA movement is spreading.
'Never Another Pilot Again' is gonna make it hard for a pilot to get an even break in this industry.

Ok, so I'm sitting down at the coffee shop at the airport in Venice, waiting for the mechanics to (unsuccessfully) repair our weather radar.
...will get you on the "evil, misogynistic male" list.
Now I REALLY LOVE THE VIDEO!![]()

My only problem with it is--where are the hot men to "entertain" the women pax and make them pay attention? (right, Charlie?)![]()
"I swear! My hat was in the commuter room!"

See you "Jo'ja" boys put up with that!
Crack the whip, Most!
We haven't seen many new faces around Southernjets in a while and it's a little weird how catty it gets when there's someone young and fresh onboard. It's almost like they want to hand them six cats, a grimace (not the McDonalds marketing character), an ex-husband and a penchant for disdain of those forward of the cockpit door.
They told her "You're young and cute, you won't always have that so be careful"
Her response: "Ma'am, I appreciate your guidance, but I am 28."
Weeeeeeeeird. New hire pilots show up and it's party time. New hire flight attendants show up and they're ready to claw her eyes out.
Competition. They're mad they can't compete anymore.
I actually think you're right about this.
They still see themselves as the 20-somethings who were hired in the sixties and seventies and expect everyone else to see them that way as well.
As far as i know, it has always been that way...Jesus. If I was even remotely considering putting an application into DL, forget it now. What are these women thinking?
Nah....I think you're right about the glamour and hopes but it's not really the jet-set life they wanted....it's the "settled" SAHM life with kids and a roof over their head they don't have to worry about paying. Since they didn't get the "connection" they were hoping for, they tend to take it out on everyone and passengers notice it too.Seems like these 'senior' FAs bought into the glamour and hopes of hooking on with some bigshot making six figures and living the jet-set life. Now they're getting older and finding it harder to compete with the newer, younger FAs. So then hen peck them.
