I just busted my CFII oral. I'm pretty bummed right now, I've never came close to busting an oral before. It started out ok, I was a little shaky on a couple of things, but nothing out of standards. Then came anti icing/deicing. I knew all about the seminole's anti icing and deicing, and how it doesnt have any airframe or propeller capabilities. He wanted me to explain them for other aircraft and I figured this was instructional level knowledge, I didnt want to just"shoot from the hip" so I admited not knowing and told him I was going to reference the PHAK. Thats when he took a deep breath, thought to himself for a couple seconds, and told me he would have to end the exam there. I wasnt expecting this at all, and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience on a checkride. Thanks
