So I'm talking to an upper-management/pilot guy yesterday in the lounge and he drops a line like:

"Even if we only end up hiring 500 pilots next year..."

So it might be in excess of 500 pilots that Southernjets Innanashnul is hiring in 2007.

Unsubstantiated, of course.
 
Nope, but I'm going to probably call him and ask in the next few days.

Still reads the site even, kinda funny! :)
 
Well hopefully the hiring continues. I can't imagine how high the stack of resumes must be since the floodgates opened.

With the regionals hiring like crazy, as is, hopefully those stacks of resumes mean even more movement, and hiring.

Next on the list to start hiring is NWA.

It's kind of my motivational reminder that if a farm boy from Alabama can join the Army to fight an enemy which he had no beef with, I can pretty darned much do anything.
 
The same talk was going on today in the crew room, about who'se gonna jump ship and "you don't need 1000 turbine PIC!" I looked at these people like they were the cyclops.

Yup, he was drafted. But served honorably without even as much as complaining about it when he'd tell the occasional war story.
 
Sweeeet! All I have to do is re-up with Gulfstream 4 more times and Ill have the mins! Think I can get the 777 out of training? If I slip them a 20 does that help?

My father's GF is a bilingual FA. She runs a South American line, as well as select domestic routes. She loves the job, but has expressed some frustration (like pilots) in regards to work rules, and QOL. Hopefully the coming year will help both professions.
 
Yeah! Only 100 more turbine time! Delta here I come!

Oh yeah... and probably 5000 more TT. But what ever, that's small potatoes.
