The French, of all people, love Line Dancing. Hey, I'm out of explanations, I don't write the news, I just report it.
Slight detour here, because it is JC afterall, but for some reason I'm getting German tractor pulls in my feed now. I guess it is just an extension of my mechanical interests, but I had no idea this was a thing outside of Appalachia, let alone in Germany.
Allison engines are still winners in Europe.

I only cook on a hot plate when McDonald's is closed, but as to German car channels, if you haven't, you should.
His reports are legit and I don't think he gets enough respect here for what he brings to the table. If MikeD started a channel, I'd actually watch it. I don't watch any of them (I only watch cooking and German car channels), but I know that he does. We're on a private fighter pilot FB group where he writes very detailed accident reports, as well as just general combat after-actions, for a bunch of mostly Desert Storm and Vietnam vets. I can't stand most of their politics, but none of Mike's content is political at all. I'm not on FB enough to read all of them, but he normally says "hey did you read my study of this?" and then I go on and read it. He has like 4 jobs I think? Maybe just 3? But he somehow has time for detailed research like this too. I just stood a few feet away from Ward Carrol's table a few weeks ago at tail hook, and I wanted to throw my beer bottle at his f***king sh**bag head. Most of you don't know him, but he is an embarrassment to naval aviation, and goes to that event to hopefully catch active duty junior officers who are drunk enough to tell him the hot goss, which he immediately regurgitates on his channel. It is disgusting. If he wasn't elderly, I'd have swung at him by now. I take major issue with these guys who monetize their, typically very minimal, "experience" in being fighter people. Ward didn't do f**** after his Bosnia deployment which he wrote a book about. Most of them are aggressively bad dudes who were forced out. Recent shenanigans aside, this is a community that generally shoots people in the head when they aren't performing. You could be a several year new JO, a 10-13 year department head, a 16 year CO, or a 20+ year wing commander (CAG) when it happens. I've seen all of those happen. A DCAG was just relieved a day before he became a CAG, last month. For fu*kery in an airplane. The long arm of judgement and the law is never far in this biz. As it should be. What is the phrase? "No slack in light attack"
Dude yes!! Sreten is the absolute GOAT! He should have millions of subs.I only cook on a hot plate when McDonald's is closed, but as to German car channels, if you haven't, you should.
because there’s a whole strategy to game the algorithm to promote your videos based on the thumbnailWhy do they always have to use photos of their perplexed looking faces?
There's apparently money to be made in "reaction" videos.
Yea…but he’d have to occasionally do it shirtless, you know, for the ladies out there in order to be a true YouTube aviation “influencer”.So much money being left on the table. "I'm Mike Deeeeeee, former F-117 and A-10 pilot, current Area 51 pilot, professionally qualified aviation accident investigator. I've forgotten more about aviation than Captain Steeeeeeeve ever knew. Now, let's get into it! Don't forget to ring the bell and subscribe!"
Tragically, Character and Integrity seem to be part of the package.
He’s about the only one I can stomach anymore. He puts out a good, knowledgeable summary.FWIW, Mentour Pilot is, I'm sure, profiting from his unqualified accident-analysis, and I'm sure Mike would happily throw him in the same cell as the rest. But he does seem to be quite serious and proficient, and definitely puts a lot more thought and effort into it than the common run of clickbaiters. He also seems to resist the urge to comment immediately, generally (but not always) only commenting on accidents with a lot of paper already printed about them. Not suggesting that it's wrong to just ask everyone to read the NTSB report, but people are gonna people, and there are legitimate gradations of Quality, even on YouTube.
Can I get rich making videos where I just go "damn, that's crazy"?There's apparently money to be made in "reaction" videos.
Just a whole channel of playing clips from the rogues' gallery while making the YouTube face, occasionally chiming-in to critique and hawk some kind of prepared-meal service of mid-tier earphones. Manufacture drama built off their urgency, maybe have some bufonés once in a while about their appearance, accuracy of past speculations, or hypothetical romantic pursuits.
