If it was up to me:
Everyone involved, fired.
And that's not working well for them. Up until 2021 I knew a lot of loyal WN flyers. Almost every last one jumped ship. It's all about the stockholders. You might try to offer a premium experience but if it doesn't turn a profit immediately the board will change direction purely for self preservation. WN is an anomaly, they conquered the LC airline market, now they're looking at Delta and salivating.
Given an honest apples to apples choice between Delta and Southwest which ticket would you purchase these days? And that's not working well to them. Up until 2021 I knew a lot of loyal WN flyers. Almost every last one jumped ship.
I purchase Delta tickets every time, without fail. I can’t remember the last time I, or my family, rode on SWA. I’ll pay a premium for the service, all day, every day.Given an honest apples to apples choice between Delta and Southwest which ticket would you purchase these days?
Delta. Are you serious? How can you even compare them. Delta Comfort vs the Southwest legroom product is no contest.Given an honest apples to apples choice between Delta and Southwest which ticket would you purchase these days?
I once endured a Charlotte to LAX non stop on a 319 and I think it was Frontier. The actual operation of the flight appeared to work safely and flawlessly, kudos to them. The experience as a passenger was not great, I do remember the Wi-Fi worked after they charged me for access. I was returning from a funeral so I wasn't in the mood for YouTube or anything else so I just watched our flight traverse the country on flightaware splitting my time between looking at my iPad (there was no onboard IFE if you didn't bring it yourself) and looking out of the window while trying to find a comfortable position in my seat. I'd done this nonstop multiple times prior but it was always a red eye on one of the big three and this was my first ULCC experience, it sucked. I used to fly Southwest a few times a year and it was fun, the flights were probably around an hour long, the seats weren't torturous and a they'd give you a beer and a bag of peanuts with a smile. I'm not saying I wasn't embarrassed for the cabin crew that were forced to sing silly songs and pretend to enjoy it. Their business model was solid and profitable for decades until it wasn't. Back then, I lived in LA, if I needed to travel around the SW of the country Southwest could get me where I was going with no stops or if you did stop you could just stay in your seat and converse with the cabin crew during the pit stop and they might bring you a Heineken. I've said it before and I'll say it again, boardrooms beholden to stockholders will eventually ruin everything they get into. SpaceX is huge right now because they've been running loose, hard and fast without the pressure that uneducated folks that now own the company will immediately start to apply on the board members to reduce costs, streamline manufacturing and maximize profits. It's going to fall apart soon and it'll be their own fault because they took the payday and relinquished control. It's a story that's been told many times about plenty of companies but here we go again.
I don't recall a winglet saying howdy, what other dominatrix machine was I being safely and efficiently conveyed on across the country? This was 2017 and I can't recall what airline we flew on, I was a bit distraught and just told my wife to book the cheapest non stop flights available. It was not one of the majors. So who was it? I know it wasn't Southwest because it was an Airbus and it was a direct flight.Frontier doesn't have wifi.
You read that whole word mess?Frontier doesn't have wifi.
I live in PHX and I really appreciated SWA's previous product, but in Arizona living near SCF, JSX is the shizz.
I like nonstops. So if it's LAX, I'll buy a ticket on Delta or see if SMO is reasonable on JSX. LAS it'll be JSX 100%. LGB would be SWA. Anywhere long distance will be Delta.
I danced with American for a bit for non-stops to FL but I'm a little upset with them. Bought non-stop first class tickets to MIA from PHX, no television, my seat was broken and the FA's basically said "We don't fix sh-- here anymore, ever since the merger (blah blah blah)" so I gave up.
If I'm going to ANC, I'd buy FC on Alaska but I haven't been too happy with their product.
Air Canada in business class to YVR next month, I'll let you guys know how it goes!
Yeah, I'm bougjie.

I flew first class on Varig from Miami to Rio in 1992. It was delightful. Excellent food and particularly good coffee. I had the middle aisle of a 747 to myself. There was a woman a row ahead on the left side of the plane that changed completely into pajamas prior to going to sleep. So that was interesting.I live in PHX and I really appreciated SWA's previous product, but in Arizona living near SCF, JSX is the shizz.
