Not quite, more about how a the Gila Monster can regulate its own blood sugar over long periods, even though the creature eats very sporadically. Hence the interest in how to adapt that for humans and avoid the daily shots of insulin for diabetics. The weight management aspect came later.

Which one? They're great folks. I get to hang out with NHL refs/lineys now and again—reffing is a small world—and they're always fun. The stories they have are amazing, if you get them talking.
