If you want the Spirit Airline’s fare, read the warnings before entering your CC information. Berating a gate agent when you can’t move your seat or take a bag onboard is obviously the next logical step though. /sarcasm

When they’re less than 6ish, yes it matters. My kids are older than that now and are seasoned travelers and we fly separate all the time, but when they’re young and can’t really help themselves, it matters a lot.

WE ALL KNOW BASIC ECONOMY TICKETS ARE RESTRICTIVE.



The difference is other airlines for BE tickets, despite their restrictions, GUARANTEE family seating.

Please stop playing dumb, you’re smarter than that. If I pick a BE ticket on Delta, the computer system will randomly give me a seat. But at other airlines, that same computer system recognizes an adult with a child, and then automatically guarantees them a seat together. Delta does no such guarantee for their BE tickets.

I'm very sure the people that made those decisions don't give a flying poop what American and Spirit are doing and you're free to choose a competing carrier with a 'guarantee' that really means nothing when the poop hits the fan.

That's how capitalism works. You are free to choose another competing carrier with more agreeable terms of service.

Hell, I'll even send you a gift card as a small token to go toward your upcoming airline reservation on a competing carrier to save my website from having to be exposed to your sport-bitching.

They're responsible for 60% of the entire US airline industries profits. Just like Pilot Selection, Revenue Management is just not going to take your phone call! :)

Finally you get it. Took long enough. :)

Don’t care about the 60% metric thing. You have been doing this long enough enough to know that today’s darling can be tomorrow’s mess. But, just like your last sentence to finish off your post, it’s that typical Delta ego which always manages to ooze itself and the reason Delta gets made fun of.

Sometimes I'm not sure if CC is avoiding reality for a number of personal reasons, he's got a serious man-crush on me or we're really the only people that pay him any attention so he creates these little micro-aggressions and creates peculiar drama to draw any attention to himself, whether healthy or unhealthy.

I knew a guy back in high school that was like that. He tried to become a bully, but no one paid him any attention. He'd say bombastic things, he was ignored. Would do things in class to get in trouble to get everyone to laugh, but we all just felt not really bad, but concerned for his well-being. It turns out he had a really dark home life so he'd act-out because his parents both worked at night, would stay blackout drunk when they weren't working and he just needed a friend. I sat down with him after a football game because we were both in marching band together and asked what his plans were for the weekend after he tried to pick a fight with me, he got quiet and emotionally unloaded about how lonely he was and if I wanted to hang out.

Maybe we're the only people where he feels he has any "agency" around because we're not asking for stuff, don't need him for anything and, quite frankly, he gets to act-up without anyone screaming "NOT IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN" or "Dad you're being weird" or cutting in front of him to steal his parking space at the grocery store. Hang Gliders face death to feel alive, maybe he likes getting his ass intellectually beat to feel alive.

Or, well, that first episode of the series "Billions" where the DA has it all together at work, but comes home (home = JC in this example), wears a leather gimp and finds pleasure in the beat-down from his "master" ("master" I guess is "webmaster" in this case).

Either way, it can't be that fun getting stuffed into your gym locker every day.
