He gets rerouted by NCT and handles reprogramming the new route decently well. NorCal approach gives him a heading 165 direct WINDY when able, but once the GPS is reprogrammed he just cruises along in heading hold mode for the next 10 minutes as the CDI slowly drifts further and further to the right and pegs at full deflection as he flies past WINDY. Then it cuts 2 minutes ahead to him going direct his next fix. We lost out on some good flailing I’m sure, but honestly not the most egregious thing Jerry has ever done. :)

Yeah, way too boring in comparison to other antics. Not even worth the watch.
 
OMG! I just went to watch. @inigo88 is absolutely right. 20 minutes of drifting off course never noticed. Best part is, "While we're sitting here doing nothing..." soon after the instruction. At least he's honest. :D
 
I’d like to make a comment on the video, but there’s too many to point out. But the rushed nature of the taxi out and run up leading to him entering the runway with an aircraft on short final stands out. Literally like watching a train wreck. This cats got way more than 9 lives.

I love totally heading for the grass on the abort despite there being no thrust lost and if there was its the opposite engine anyways. I love the grabbing the yoke as a steering wheel trying to correct. Its all so bad and comical and people "nice job Jerry!"

I’m pretty sure as he heard someone was on short final he rushed the check list which is what led to the abort. God forbid you wait an extra 3 minutes
