25 open domestic afternoon shifts tomorrow
How many days can they JM you in a row? And do you have protection to work say 6+ days in a row?
How many desks does UA have? How many do they attempt to operate (before sick calls) does UA plan to run on a normal day?
Apathy leads the way!Just curious - why didn’t the union at UA negotiate a new contract this last time with the terrible QOL language it has? If I recall correctly they only negotiated changes to the payscale. Seems very odd that QOL as a whole would be completely ignored during negotiations.
They got an offer for an increased pay scale in exchange for negotiating the rest in two years.Apathy leads the way!

I understand why people are pissed for sure, especially if you’ve been dealing with your schedule getting jacked for months/years now. I personally am gonna pick up the phone and get my OT/short turn pay but I understand why people don’t and I don’t blame them. The company definitely could’ve seen this coming and got ahead of it but they didn’t.Sigh… I’m so sick of people defending junior manning like it’s a good thing because it personally makes them more money. The company has done the same thing, look how much money you’ll make! It’s a selfish argument based upon your own bias for willingness to work overtime. It’s an opportunity for you, it’s a menace for everyone else and I can assure you everyone else is the majority.
I couldn’t even fathom initiating a debate of is junior manning a good thing or not. Maybe you are just trolling or being contrarian. All I suggest is think of the group and not yourself before making a judgment.. especially when it aligns with the company. The implications or your statement essentially imply if you give me enough money I’ll sign my life AND all my coworkers lives away, and quite frankly that’s degenerate. Not everyone signs up to that lifestyle, including myself and many many more.

Burnout isn’t the same as fatigue. The current contract and regs protect fatigue but not stress/burnout.You can only work so much till you burn yourself out. How much is too much work? Wow that’s a lot of empty desks.
