Morbid curiosity. Upgrade times?

WHOA...wait a second. What is this 737 DOM and 737 INT you speak about? This like the A and B teams at another airline?
The DOM and INT divisions at a certAAin cAArier are part of the ancestry worship, because that's the way they did it on the Electra.

The Baby B-Scalers over there will tell you it takes special training and an elite group of pilots to fly to Cancun.

God the ancestry worship. People jokingly say “wAAy” all the time but that simple little play on words is singularly most accurate summation of the dysfunction at that airline.

All this headache for one extra day of training about HF radios and life rafts/survival….union doesn’t fight it much because it’s inefficient for headcount’s which is in our favor.

I had thought HF radios only existed in the old-ass aircraft I fly. Having the 5th aircraft off the production line ever made, and that tail number still a frontline aircraft I’m flying 46 years later, only has a limited cool factor to it when it has constant maintenance problems.

Here’s another kicker…

You need the “special” one day ground school class and a trip with a CKP to be division qualified for “Latin America” flying, thus enabling you to operate to CUN.

However, the trip with the CKP can not be to CUN as it is not to be used as an initial qualification trip for the said division qualification as it is not challenging enough.

🤷
