I’m stating that probation is part of the SENTENCE and, in fact, it IS ”serving time” because there is an obligation to the court and to society for the crime(s) committed; not unlike the incarceration portion of the sentence.If you think that probation counts as “serving time,” then we certainly aren’t ever going to agree.
“Probation is a type of criminal sentence that allows an offender to remain in the community (as opposed to being in jail). The judge makes decisions regarding probation, including conditions and consequences for violations”
